Day 4 - Breathe
Breathing is one of the most natural things for us to do - but it’s also a really powerful tool for bringing a little calm into our body (and mind!).
Our breath is also a really important part of taste as it’s connected to our sense of smell. This is something we’re going to explore later in the week during the hot chocolate meditation.
There are SO many different breath meditations and exercises, but today we’re going to use a breathing focus phrase. It also incorporates one of my favourite breath focus phrases from Thich Nhat Hanh, and it’s one I come back to again and again.
But today is also about creating space to breathe in our lives.
You’re going to imagine your perfect space of comfort, one that supports your wellbeing and your creative life. It could be a living space, a working space or a combination of both.
You can do this as a written reflection or, for a bit of change, you might even like to do a sketch or doodle of this space instead.
