Delivery & Returns
your calm cocoa delivery
We normally send out Calm Cocoa within 48 hours of you ordering (1-2 working days from your order) from Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. It can sometimes take a little longer during busy periods like Christmas. Our biscuit orders go out once a week on a Tuesday (and occasionally on a Monday!).
LAST ORDER DATES FOR CHRISTMAS 2025
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1pm Friday 19th December
Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 1pm Thursday 18th December
We’ll also offer a Special Delivery option for a limited period time after the cut off dates with final orders to be received by 1pm Monday 22nd December
Please note these are dates based on Royal Mail estimates, but to ensure your parcels arrive in time for Christmas it’s best to order sooner rather than later! We’ll keep sending parcels after the cut off dates, but they won’t arrive until after Christmas.
We now send everything via Royal Mail Tracked services - you can choose between:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 - arrives 1 working days after dispatch (normally 2-3 days from your order date)
£3.95 for single letterbox gifts and £4.85 for small parcels
- Royal Mail Tracked 48 - arrives 2 working days after dispatch (normally 3-5 working days from your order date)
£3.00 for single letterbox gifts and £3.90 for small parcels
We currently only ship to UK Mainland addresses so please get in contact if you live a little further afield as the postage will cost a little more and we’ll quote for you based on what you’re after.
We don’t ship to the EU as standard because of the post-Brexit delivery changes. However if you’d like to talk about arranging a bespoke delivery please get in touch to see if this is possible, and so we can calculate the additional postage and customs/VAT fees.
Your hot chocolate should normally arrive within 3-5 working days of your order (unless you’ve ordered Calm Cookie Hot Chocolate Box as we only send these out once a week) and we’ll send you an email to let you know it’s on its way.
If you ever need something more quickly or by particular date just get in touch and we can arrange a special delivery if needed. There’s also an option in the checkout to choose a future delivery date.
If someone is not available to accept your delivery during working hours, Royal Mail should leave a postcard letting you or your recipient know they’ve tried to deliver your Calm Cocoa parcel. You can then arrange for it to be redelivered or to collect it from your local collection point.
We send everything tracked so you can keep an eye on your order and change the delivery date if needed, however if you have any issues at all just drop Meredith a note at contact@foodatheart.co.uk.
cancelling or changing orders
If you change your mind or would like to change your order, please let us know as soon as possible as we are happy to cancel your order and refund your money if we haven’t sent it out yet.
no hassle refunds
We want you to enjoy your Calm Cocoa as much as we do, so if there are any issues at all, including damage in the post or a problem with the product, please contact us at contact@foodatheart.co.uk. (If you’re able to send us images of any issues that will be really helpful as it can help us prevent problems happening in the future.)
If we’ve made an error or there’s a problem with your order, we’ll of course cover the cost of any returns. You’ll have the option either for a refund or a replacement item to be sent out.
This excludes bespoke orders and Large Hot Chocolate Bags as these products are made to order. (Just go to our FAQs for more information)
If you’d like to return your Calm Cocoa because you’ve changed your mind, just contact us by email (contact@foodatheart.co.uk) within 14 calendar days of receiving your order to let us know. You’ll then need to post it back to us in the following 7 calendar days. You’ll be responsible for the delivery costs of sending your Calm Cocoa back to us in this instance (it’s probably easiest if you use the original box).
Unfortunately we can’t accept returns if you’ve opened your Calm Cocoa.
Please get a proof of posting when you send your Calm Cocoa back as unfortunately we can’t be responsible for any items that fail to reach us without this. We’ll process any refunds with 10 working days of receiving your returned item.
