is calm cocoa suitable for vegans?
Calm Cocoa doesn’t contain any added dairy and most vegans we’ve spoken to are happy with this. However both the chocolate we use and our Calm Cocoa blends are created in environments that also sometimes contain dairy, so we can’t completely guarantee that there aren’t traces of this. Please do get in touch if you’d like to know more!
is calm cocoa suitable for me if i have an allergy or special dietary requirements?
Calm Cocoa hot chocolate doesn’t contain any added dairy, gluten, nuts* or sesame (or any of the major allergen groups).
However, although we make every effort to avoid cross-contamination, if you have any major allergies we can’t guarantee that there aren’t traces of dairy, gluten, nuts or sesame in our products. Calm Cocoa is created in a kitchen that also handles these ingredients or ingredients are sourced from suppliers who may handle these allergens.
We always include the ingredients for each product included on our online shop so you can check out the full information there.

do you do bespoke orders?
If you’d like a bespoke order for a special event or are interested in running a Calm Cocoa Café mindful hot chocolate popup, get in touch with us as we’d love to chat. Just drop Meredith a message at meredith@foodatheart.co.uk with a brief outline of your requirements.
what payment options do you offer?
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. We collect payments via Stripe or PayPal so don’t ever hold any of your payment details.
what delivery options do you offer?
Our standard delivery option is Royal Mail First Class (there is also a Signed For option). If you need your order a little more quickly, we now offer a tracked Express option.
what is your returns policy?
We want you to enjoy your Calm Cocoa as much as we do, so if there are any issues at all, including damage in the post or a problem with the product, please contact us at contact@foodatheart.co.uk. If we’ve made an error or there’s a problem with your order, we’ll of course cover the cost of any returns. You’ll have the option either for a refund or a replacement item to be sent out.
If you’d like to return your Calm Cocoa because you’ve changed your mind, just contact us by email (contact@foodatheart.co.uk) within 14 calendar days of receiving your order to let us know. You’ll then need to post it back to us in the following 7 calendar days. You’ll be responsible for the delivery costs of sending your Calm Cocoa back to us in this instance (it’s probably easiest if you use the original box). This excludes bespoke orders and our Mindful Mouthfuls monthly subscription or subscription one-off boxes as these products are made to order.
Unfortunately we can’t accept returns if you’ve opened your Calm Cocoa products.

Drop us a note at contact@foodatheart.co.uk or call us on 020 3603 5801, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. As we are a very small business there’s a chance we’re in the kitchen if you don’t hear from us straight away!
Mindful Mouthfuls Monthly Subscription
When will my first box be sent out?
We take orders up till the end of the 5th of each month. The boxes will be sent out of the 15th of the month, or the first working day after this if the 15th falls on a weekend or bank holiday. (e.g. for our September box you can order up until the end of 5th September and we will send out the boxes on 15th September.)
When will you take payments?
Your payment will be taken on a monthly basis on the date that you first sign up. We recommend that you sign up for a Customer Account (this will be prompted in the checkout) so that you can access and manage your payment information.
Is delivery included?
We send out our boxes Royal Mail First Class (this is untracked) and the price of this is included in our monthly subscription price. If you purchase a one-off box the postage will be added on top of the price for this. We’ll pop you a note to let you know when your box is on its way.
Can I cancel or pause my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription via your Customer Account (if you have any issues just drop us a note at contact@foodatheart.co.uk and we can do this for you). You can cancel at any time up to the 5th of the month for that month’s delivery.
If you’d like to pause your subscription unfortunately you’re not able to do this via your account, however we can do this for you. Just drop us an email and we can skip a future delivery for you. Your payment date will then reset to when we confirm your next order.
If you cancel or pause after the 5th of the month we may not be able to cancel your next order as we might already have started to prepare the treats for that month’s box.
Do you offer refunds?
As we make these boxes to order and by hand, we don’t normally offer refunds if you change your mind after the 5th of the month or once your box has been posted out. Of course if there are any issues with your box or the delivery just let us know, as we want to make sure you’re completely happy!
Will I know what’s in my box each month?
We love surprises and hope you do too! We won’t reveal the contents of your mindful box ahead of you receiving it - so if you prefer not to be surprised, you might like to look at some of our other tasty gifting options.
Are your boxes vegan?
Although our boxes are vegan-friendly we may sometimes include other ingredients such as nuts so this subscription may not be suitable for anyone with specific allergen issues.
