7 days of reflection, connection, intention - and hot chocolate!

Create time and space and joy just for you…

So often we get to the middle of the year and can’t quite work out where the last 6 months have gone. If this is you, maybe it’s time to hit pause for a few moments.

Starting on Saturday 21st Jun (aka the summer solstice) I’m running a special 7 day hot chocolate reset called Cocoa Magic. This will be a gentle week of meditation, reflection and connection.

As we approach the solstice - the longest day of the year - it’s a great time to take stock and get a little more intentional with the rest of the year.

You’ll explore a more grounded and calmer side of yourself, and practise ways of incorporating everyday mindful moments into your week.

And yes, there is hot chocolate involved!

So how does it all work?

1. You’ll receive a Calm Cocoa Hot Chocolate Trio pack in the post, which contains 3 x 60g servings of different Calm Cocoa flavours along with a self-guided meditation card. This will help you start the week on Sat 21st June with a lovely at-home hot chocolate sipping on the solstice.

2. Following this, every day from the 22nd June to 28th June you’ll receive an email which unlocks that day’s meditation and activity.

The week’s activities will be available online, and include a short recorded daily meditation and a reflection exercise. You can do them back to back or, if you prefer, at separate times of the day.

The reflections will be exercises designed to explore:

  • what makes you feel truly joyful in your life

  • simple ways to tune into mindful moments throughout your week

  • the everyday magic that surrounds us but we so often miss when we’re caught in busy mode.

At the end of the week there’ll be a chance to look back on your experience and set intentions for the months ahead.

3. We’ll then wrap up on Sunday 29th June with a live online hot chocolate meditation which I’ll guide you through.*

*there’s also now an option to join Cocoa Magic just for the meditation on Sunday 29th June; this includes a 60g taster pouch of Calm Cocoa


So what’s included in Cocoa Magic?

Hot chocolate sent to your door, a series of reflective exercises and meditations, and a live hot chocolate meditation session on Sunday 29th Jun at 4.30pm

All of this is £30 for the week

And if you’d like to join for the meditation only, the investment is £15


And what’s the magic part?

Dark chocolate has all sorts of wonderful uplifting qualities, with its blend of naturally occurring stimulants and general alchemy of constituents that make up good chocolate. But even just the act of creating small rituals and celebrations in our day - like enjoying a soothing cup of hot chocolate - can help unlock new perspectives on the world around us.

I think chocolate is a pretty special ingredient that connects us with ourselves and the world and people around us, which is why it’s at the centre of so much of the work I do.

Anything else?

Okay, so the eagle eyed among you might have spotted the full set of activities is actually a little more than 7 days…

Everything kicks off with a short email and video intro on the Saturday, which will give you the chance to set yourself up for the week of activities ahead. My suggestion is to incorporate a grounded sipping of your choice of hot chocolate flavour on the first day (which I’ll also cover in the welcome video).

The reflective exercises and guided meditations then start on the Sunday and run to the following Saturday.

We’ll bring the week to a full close on the Sunday afternoon when we’ll come together for the hot chocolate meditation on Microsoft Teams. So make sure you save one serving of your hot chocolate for this!

You have until 1pm Thursday 19th June to book your space on the full Cocoa Magic programme & till 1pm Thursday 26th June to book for the hot chocolate meditation only.

I’ve included some other FAQs below…

  • I suggest using a nice notebook and pen for your reflections, as it definitely helps to write by hand rather than typing. Alternatively there will be a PDF document each day which you can download, print and write on if you prefer.

    And of course, if you find hand writing a challenge and prefer to type, then you can do this! Everything is an invitation rather than an instruction.

  • To get the most of the week, I suggest allowing about 15-20 minutes a day for the meditation and reflections - but this is your time so if it’s a little less that’s fine too.

  • While everyone taking part in Cocoa Magic will be starting and finishing on the same dates, nearly all the videos, meditations and reflections will be pre-recorded for you to listen to at a time that suits you on each day.

    The one exception is the Guided Hot Chocolate Meditation on Sunday 29th, which I’ll be guiding live on Microsoft Teams at 4.30pm.

  • First of all make sure you save at least one serving of your hot chocolate for the final meditation on Sunday 29th June at 4.30pm.

    I’ll run the meditation via Microsoft Teams so will send out a link ahead of the session and will store in on the Cocoa Magic page. If you haven’t used Teams before, it’s worth testing the link beforehand to check you can get in. I’ll also be online early to make sure people can get in.

  • No, absolutely not! Whether you are completely new or are an experienced meditator, the short meditations included each day are intended to be a springboard for wider reflections. Each one is about 5 minutes so has been designed to fit easily into a busy day.

  • Well, this might not be the week for you! But if you’d still like to take part, you could gift your hot chocolate to someone special and sip some tea or coffee as an alternative (but you’ll need to provide this yourself :) )

  • I’m really sorry, but at the moment I only post hot chocolate to UK addresses. This might change for future programmes so drop me a note and I’ll keep in touch about other options.

  • The very last day for sign up is Thursday 19th June at 1pm. This is to make sure I can send out your hot chocolate so it arrives in time for the Saturday (it’s more likely to be there if you book your place a little earlier than this).

    If you’re joining just for the meditation, please book your spot by 1pm 26th June.
